We took plump, deeply ripe blackberries and gently cooked them with a splash of bourbon and a generous pour of vanilla. Slowly simmered in small batches, the berries soften and surrender their juices, concentrating all that dark, lush blackberry flavor while the bourbon brings warmth and the vanilla rounds everything out.

The result is a jam that is rich, silky and intensely fruity, with a little bourbon warmth and a lingering vanilla finish.

Sweet, dark, complex and just a little bit indulgent.

This is blackberry jam, grown up.
