Today marks 7 years since Kenikakes Catering and More opened the doors to our brick-and-mortar home. What started with a single vision has blossomed into a beautiful reality, and looking back, it is clear that this journey has been about so much more than food.
Kenikakes was built from passion, faith, and a whole lot of hustle. It started in my own kitchen with late nights, early mornings, and the determination to turn a gift into a legacy. Every order, every cake, and every catered event was a stepping stone.
However, this path has not been without heartbreak. Just one month after opening the restaurant, I lost my father. Then, only one month after opening my food truck, I lost my mother. They were both so instrumental in my success, and they remain the reason I get up every single day to do what I do.
My daughter was my ultimate motivation, which is how I came up with the name Kenikakes from Kenadi . Life threw me incredible challenges, but I was able to navigate through them because of Kenikakes; it literally was the table that saved me. That experience is why I wrote my book—to show the world that when you are operating in your gift, it is never work. It is only love.
What started as a restaurant has since evolved and expanded. Today, Kenikakes has grown into a full catering company, and we now also have a beautiful venue for your special events. One business has grown into three, and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon!
To everyone who has supported Kenikakes Catering and More over these last seven years—whether you’ve sat at our table, celebrated in our venue, or shared our story—thank you. You are part of a story of resilience, and we are just getting started. 🧁✨
