Wow, it’s been a while!

I took the summer off from baking to spend time with my kids, navigate a new job, and just soak in the season. Today I dusted off my mixing bowls and baked up a pumpkin zucchini bread with a pecan streusel topping 😍

Somewhere along the way I lost my sourdough starter (RIP 🥲) so I’ll be starting fresh there. But with cooler weather hopefully on its way, I can feel the baking spark coming back.

Not sure yet what this will look like for Buns & Roses this fall, but I’ll keep you posted! 🍂💛

Back in the kitchen after a much-needed mental health break spent soaking up summer with my girls ☀️ I was honored to kick things off with a special custom order for a dear friend’s wedding breakfast — such a joy to be part of her big day through baked goods! Pictured below are just a few of the items I baked up today 🥰

It’s been a little quiet around here as I wrapped up a long stretch at the hospital and am now taking a quick weekend getaway with my family. A little rest, a little reset 😌 and then back to baking!

✨ NEW MUFFIN FLAVORS ✨

Played around with some cozy, chocolatey combos today baking alongside a custom order and ended up with two new jumbo muffin flavors I’m loving:

▪️ Dark Chocolate Banana – like banana bread leveled up with rich dark chocolate chips 🍌🍫

▪️ Dark Chocolate Walnut Zucchini – fudgy, nutty, a little earthy, and so satisfying 🥒🌰

They’re double the size of my standard muffins (check out the side-by-side pic) and honestly feel like a full-on dessert.

These jumbos are $18 for a 6-pack, and I’ll probably be offering them here and there in upcoming bake boxes! Of course also available in standard size as well 🥰

Custom Order Spotlight: The Monster Cookie 🍪

These cookies were made for a custom order, and let me tell you…I tried to behave. I really did. But obviously I had to taste test one, quality control IS my moral obligation after all.

It’s hard to lose weight when your own cookies are whispering sweet nothings like:

“You deserve this.”
“Cardio is for people who don’t bake.”

Custom orders like this are always welcome… even if they wreck my willpower 😂🍪

🌱 Vegan Rolls, Baby! 🌱

When my vegan uncle asked if I could whip up some goodies just for him, I said, “Why not? Let’s see what happens!” 😄 I’d never baked vegan before, but I was totally up for the challenge—and guess what? They turned out just as soft, gooey, and cinnamon-swirled as ever. 🙌

Turns out, you don’t need butter and eggs to make something downright delicious. So if you’ve ever thought, “Could she make this vegan? Or gluten-free?” - just ask! I’d love to try it with you! 💕

Dinosaur themed with pink, purple and white frosting per our baby girls request for her 6th birthday!!
