Hi there, bakery fans! I am still baking on a limited basis. For orders only, and I will deliver to your front porch (Monmouth and Independence only). You just leave me a check or exact change inside a sandwich bag, and we're good to go!

Give me a couple days' notice. Here's what I can do for you:
- challah (or cheesy garlic bread from the same dough)
- sourdough rye bread
- Independence House Bread (that's the one that includes almond flour and white flour of course, pine nuts, and sunflower seeds)
- cranberry orange bread
- scones: maple/bacon, coconut/chocolate chip, hazelnut/white chocolate chip (minimum order: 6 = $120

That's it. All breads are $7.50 each

I am horribly disappointed in myself for not having posted here in such a long time. I will ramp up my baking for your orders after Dec. 26, 2019, easing into the new year to please your taste. I am unable to be at the Farmers Market on Saturday (May 4). I will, however, be able to make sure any orders I receive by 10:00 a.m. tomorrow (Friday) will be available at Marti Sohn's booth (the one opposite the Library). There will also be a place for you to make orders for the next week (Mother's Day), or you can post orders here. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I've had many of you wish I'd make bigger hand pies. So now I have. These are almost twice the size, and that's how I'm going to be making them now. I'm only making blueberry for awhile, but will be adding apple, pear, and other fresh fruits when they appear at the market. Strawberry/Rubarb? Peach? Savory ones? Let me know what you'd like.

NOTE: These four are on a dinner plate, so you can see each one would make a good desert (top with ice cream?), or to share while walking the market.

OK, got my act together, and I will be setting up at Saturday's market (April 13). Here's what I'll have:

I so wish I had set up at last Saturday's market. I rained on and off and we had lots of loyal customers show up. So, my decision for this week: I will be there even if it snows! I'll be posting a list of what I'll have for Saturday, and will try to do that every week. If you've been missing something, let me know before Wednesdays, and I'll try to have it for you at market.

So sorry to have neglected this page since the winter holidays! Shame! But I'm back and skidding into home plate!

I will not be setting up at tomorrow's opening day of our market. A few steadfast vendors will be there to welcome stalwart shoppers. I'll be there on April 13 without fail.

New this year are Pecan Sandies, Iced Orange/Cranberry scones, Swedish Saffron Raisin Bread, and several other items I'll be debuting during the season. So check this site.

Just a quick note to let you know that I'm debuting a new cookie at tomorrow's market: Salty-Sweet Peanut Butter Sandies. They are melt-in-your-mouth yummy, made with peanut butter I get in my local market from a grinding machine. I choose the one with no added anything, so it's all peanuts. For anyone with an allergy, I'll have these under a separate lid. See you at the market!

I WILL be at market this week to join our other members who braved last week's weather. They lashed themselves to their trucks and the trees, and there were about 100 customers! I'm so proud to be part of this mighty market!

Cheryl's Cottage Bakery and Quail Flats Farm did a pop-up farmers market in February. BRRRRR! I hada selection of goodies for sale, including a new cookie: Salty peanut butter sandies. These passed the taste test of Brandon's (Quail Flats owner) sweet daughters. Brandon had some carrots, beets, micro-greens, and more.
