Cookie Quest continues with Joshua Weissman’s “The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever”. These cookies really do live up to their name. They’re buttery, chewy and have just the right amount of sweetness. The recipe calls for both dark and milk chocolate - the combination works really well! So far these are my favorites of the recipes I’ve tried.

The pursuit of the perfect chocolate chip cookie continues! This recipe came from the popular French chef Dominique Ansel. The cookie is lighter in color compared to other recipes. The consistency is on the fluffier side - good for those who prefer a more cake-like cookie. I was surprised that the recipe didn’t call for any vanilla, if I were to make these a second time I’d definitely add it in as well as a pinch more salt.

These were very good. I’ll admit the toffee was a bit tricky to make without a candy thermometer but it really adds a rich, caramelly flavor that sets them apart from classic chocolate chip cookie recipes.

I admit it - I am a chocoholic, always have been always will be. There’s rarely a day that I don’t have some form of chocolate. So these double chocolate cookies are perfect for when those cocoa cravings hit. The base is a rich dark chocolate, brownie-like cookie which is filled with creamy, buttery white chocolate chips. You could definitely substitute the chips with dark or semi-sweet chips too if you want to be extra intense.
