Before I became a bakery owner, I spent years as an elementary school teacher. Over the years, I watched countless classroom celebrations where cupcakes, cookies, or snacks were passed out and a child quietly sat on the sidelines because they couldn't safely eat what everyone else was having. Sometimes there wasn't one. As a teacher, those moments always stayed wi

th me. No child should feel left out of a birthday celebration. No parent should have to worry about whether their child can safely enjoy a special occasion. That's one of the reasons I started offering gluten-free, egg-free, dairy-free, vegan, and other allergy-friendly desserts at Katy Bakes TX. My goal isn't just to bake a cake. My goal is to make sure everyone at the table gets to celebrate.
