A bittersweet goodbye will be made come April 30th, 2026, as Good Neighbor Baking moves its operation out of the Bluff Park Coffee Collective.
This decision was not made lightly and very much with a heavy heart.
It’s crazy to think that this biz I created back in 2019 to seek out purpose and community has been going nonstop since its origin, even through my 2020 pregnancy. I remember fulfilling Christmas orders🎄in between nighttime feedings just to ‘stay relevant’, like if I gave myself permission to take a break during postpartum that someone else would swoop in and steal the platform I worked so hard to reach. So what did I do? I let the intrusive thoughts win and kept working, pushing myself to go bigger, better, harder...😮💨
Flash forward to April 2026🗓️. After years of this behavior, I can humbly say I’ve given everything I have to this chapter and it’s time to take a step back, to reset, rest, heal.✨
We operated a successful home bakery for 5 years, then took a leap of faith + signed a lease for a beautiful production space😍 inside the that was intended to help grow the brand even further. However, the stresses of hiring, rising ingredient costs, excessive waste, canceled plans to cover shifts have weighed on our family significantly. It’s been extremely hard to focus on brand building when my energy was moreso spent trying to keep pastry production exciting, trying to keep customers happy. Slowly the brand I brought in to nurture🍪 was replaced with another🥐.. one that was never supposed to have the majority of the spotlight and left me with severe cases of imposter syndrome. I stopped recognizing myself a long time ago as well as the business I was sacrificing everything to grow.🌱
That’s not fair to my family, to you, to myself… it’s time to grant myself that permission.🫶🏻
What’s next? Daysol will take over pastries at the Bluff Park Coffee Collective on April 20th. GNB will still hold a retail shelf presence in the until April 30th, so make sure to grab your favorites until then.☺️ After that, I’ll be taking a 3 month break to focus on my mental health and my family, hopefully to return in August but under Cottage Food Law.💛

NOTE📣 :: Any orders that have previously been confirmed with pickups past April 30th deadline will still be fulfilled, but with the 'OG' carport pickup setup. Details will be emailed to those individuals! Any new orders will not be accepted after April 30th until I begin to accept them again, closer to the new school year.

My hope for this 'off season' is to become re-inspired with my creative side, spend intentional time with my boys, maybe actually grab lunch with a friend?!, learn some new skills, travel some, finish a book without falling asleep, spend a full weekend at the lake without either me or my husband having to drive back to manage the shop... but most importantly, have the opportunity to look at my business with a fresh and healthy perspective so I can come back stronger than ever.
Exciting times are ahead, I believe in my bones.
Thank you guys for continuing on this wild and crazy ride since Day 1. Your texts, emails, DMs, Bat signals since this announcement are all being received with a full heart and a whole lot of tears.🥹
