Easter Sugar Cookies are here!!!!

We took our signature vanilla-flavored sugar cookie and made it egg-stra special just for Easter. It's 5 inches and has super basket-ability since it's heat-sealed and cutely labeled. It's also naturally colored (but you'd NEVER know by the taste)

Limited quantities so make sure to put these in your (virtual) basket before they are gone.

I know this announcement will disappoint some people but please don't hate me.... I'm no longer offering custom-decorated sugar cookies.

It's not them, it's me. I don't have the time to commit to doing them anymore.

To make up for it I will do Easter cookies similar to ones I've done in the past, probably those cute bunny butts! They will only be available to ship on March 27-28 or pick up in Holts Summit on the 29-30.

Lumps of Coal: chocolate lovers unite! We used 4 different sources of chocolate to create this scrumptious flavor profile. You don't have to be on the naughty list to enjoy this one.

Pumpkin Gingerbread: Ginger and spice make this cookie nice. Plus we added pumpkin because, well pumpkin spice.

Peppermint Sugar: Our rolled sugar cookie converted into a drop and enhanced with candy canes?! Yes, we did that!

White Chocolate Cranberry: The name pretty much says it all but let's reiterate that this cookie is absolutely delicious. Premium white chocolate, cranberries, mixed with vanilla is just *chef's kiss*

Local pickup is still available Friday 9am-6pm and Saturday 8am-12pm.

MEET THE BAKER!!!

There are quite a few new followers here, and given that we are in a new town, I figured it’s time to (re)introduce myself.

🙋‍♀️I’m Ashley, baker and decorator behind all the cookies. I’ve spent the better part of 20 years experimenting in the kitchen and developing my own recipes. I love helping others learn and find their stride in the kitchen. So much so that I almost went that route instead of reopening after moving.

5 other tidbits that you don’t have to know unless you want to:

💍 My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary a week before we moved to Holts Summit
👧👧🧒 I have 3 kids who are about as entertaining as they come
🐔🐓 Chickens are better than dogs even if they refuse to show me love back. I had to give up my flock when we moved, but I’ve already threatened to come home with them in the spring
🐕🐾 We have dogs who will greet you at pickup. Honestly, one is letting me know you've already turned on our street (he's very vocal 🙄)
🥣 I pretty much live in my kitchen between cookies, meals, and the 1000 snacks a day, but it’s my favorite place to be in my house💙

Hey there, it's been a bit! I have good news and great news 😁

The good news: After the 7-month closing I can officially say the wait is ALMOST OVER! I'm reopening again shortly. I don't have a specific date just yet but I will soon!

The great news: I'll be offering shipping!

I'll have plenty of changes and updates over the next few weeks and I may even be up and baking in time for Thanksgiving! One really really big change is the bakery's name. It's changing to align with the style of the bakery. It's new name? I thought you'd never ask:

MO Cookie Co.

I bet you can guess what I'll be specializing in, cookies for Missourians of course!

When I announced the closing our plans at the time were to remain in the Vandalia area until my husband's new position in Knox County began on Jan 1. But oh boy did we have even more unexpected changes. To make an incredibly long and wild story short, the day we closed on our house we also closed on our new home in Callaway County. That meant our time in Audrain County had come to an end months prior than we originally expected. It was bittersweet leaving the county we called home for 7 years.

Our new location is in Holts Summit so we can still have that small-town feel. We feel incredibly blessed to still be in the area doing what we both love. As for our kids, they LOVE it!!! Lizzy and Peyton are both in gymnastics and absolute naturals at it. Ryder starts Karate this week and cannot wait to use it against his sisters.

Thanks so much for being here. I truly would not have the courage to start all over again in a new area if it were not for all the love you showed us. 💙

Hey there!

I did not see this coming until a few weeks ago, and I have contacted all orders it will effect.

Effective April 3rd, I am closing for a bit. At this time, I don’t know if this will be a temporary close or permanent. Technically, I'm allowed to ship anywhere in the state so in the future that may be an option.

Our time in Audrain County is coming to an end this year. While we aren't fully leaving for a bit, our family felt it best to go ahead and close the bakery. After all, we do have to sell our house, and having your cookies hanging around while other people are sneaking peeks around is a no-go for me.

I am so thankful for each and every one of you who supported me during the past 2.5 years💙

I am unsure if time or the weather will allow for a pop-up or two before we officially move. If it does I’ll be sure to use the dreaded “everyone” tag so you are sure to get a notification.

You all are so kind to show my family such love while we were here.
