🤍 One Year of Doughlightful Creations 🤍

One year ago today, I took a leap of faith and officially became the owner of Doughlightful Creations. Looking back, I never could have imagined all that this year would hold.

This year has been full of joy, growth, lessons, answered prayers, and moments that truly tested me. There were days I celebrated exciting milestones, and there were days when life reminded me that family has to come first.

Earlier this year, I made the difficult decision to step away from the bakery for a while so I could focus on my family and their mental health. It wasn’t an easy choice, but it was the right one. During that season, I was reminded that God never asks us to carry everything on our own. He is faithful even when life doesn’t go according to our plans.

Coming back to the bakery has given me a renewed appreciation for this little business and for every single one of you who continued to support, encourage, pray for, and believe in me. Your kindness during that time meant more than I could ever express.

To everyone who has bought a loaf of bread, ordered a cake, enjoyed a cinnamon roll, visited me at an event, shared my posts, or simply spoken my business name to someone else—thank you. Every order has helped support not only my dream but also my family. I will never take that for granted.

Doughlightful Creations has always been about more than baking. It’s about serving others, building community, sharing God’s love through hospitality, and using the gifts He has blessed me with to bring a little joy to someone’s day.

As I step into year two, I don’t know exactly what God has planned, but I know He has been faithful every step of the way, and I trust Him with whatever comes next.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this first year so special. Thank you for supporting my family, my dream, and this little bakery that God has entrusted to me.

Hello, friends! ❤️

After taking some much-needed time away to focus on my family, I am so thankful to say that I’m back in the bakery. This season reminded me that sometimes the most important thing we can do is slow down, be present with the people God has entrusted to us, and trust Him with the rest. Thank you all for your prayers, patience, and understanding during my time away. Your love and support have meant more than you’ll ever know.

Now it’s time to get back to doing what I love—baking and serving this wonderful community! I have truly missed creating fresh breads, sweet treats, and spending time with each of you.

As I step back into the bakery, I also wanted to share a small change. For the remainder of this year, I will no longer be participating in farmers’ markets. Instead, you’ll be able to find Doughlightful Creations at special events throughout the year, and I’ll continue taking custom orders as well.

This time away reminded me that God’s timing is always perfect. He has been faithful through every season, and I am excited to see what He has planned for this next chapter of Doughlightful Creations.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

To my wonderful friends, family, and faithful customers,

After much prayer and many difficult conversations, I’ve made the decision to take a break from Doughlightful Creations for the month to focus on my family.

As many of you know, I pour my whole heart into this little bakery. It has been such a blessing to serve this community, and your love and support have meant more than words can express. Because of that, I wanted to be honest with you about why I’m stepping away.

Right now, my family’s mental and emotional well-being needs to come first. Sometimes life becomes overwhelming, and we need to slow down, be present with one another, and allow ourselves the time and space to heal. I truly believe that caring for the hearts and minds of the people God has entrusted to me is one of the most important callings I have.

While this wasn’t an easy decision, I know it’s the right one for this season. The bakery will still be here when I return, but these moments with my family are precious and cannot be replaced.

I ask for your prayers during this time—that God would bring peace where there is worry, strength where there is weariness, healing where it is needed, and wisdom as we walk through this season together.

Thank you for every order you’ve placed, every encouraging word you’ve shared, and every prayer you’ve prayed over my family and this little bakery. Your support has carried us through so much, and I am deeply grateful for each of you.

This isn’t goodbye—it’s simply a pause. My hope is to return next month refreshed, with a renewed heart and ready to continue serving this wonderful community that has become like family to me.
