Have you ever had from-scratch Mincemeat pie? It is so MUCH better than what you might’ve had before. As a kid I couldn’t stand it made from a jar - ick. Check out evethepiedpiper.com for a truly homemade pie - lots of diced apple, currants, raisins, dried cherries, freshly-squeezed orange and lemon juices and their zest, molasses, brown sugar, butter, and savory spices simmered together in a pot for several hours till everything melds together, then it’s refrigerated overnight. The next day it’s baked in my crispy, double crust, with an egg wash brushed on top.

Eve the Pie’d Piper’s newest, just in time for Thanksgiving: Marbled Pumpkin Cheesecake!
It’ll be on the Thanksgiving specials list coming out soon.
A crunchy and fragrant gingersnap cookie crust is the base for both regular and pumpkin fillings that are marbled before baking. Toward the end of baking time, a sour cream layer is smoothed over the surface. Once cooled, a drizzle of from-scratch, salted caramel sauce is the final touch. My samplers have loved it!

A NEW quiche debuts: Sun-dried Tomato, Spinach, & Asiago!
Organic, baby spinach is sautéed with fresh garlic in olive oil, then it’s blended with fresh basil leaves in an egg, half & half, and light spice mix before being turned into my single, crispy crust where freshly shredded Asiago cheese and snipped, sun-dried tomatoes await. It’s dotted with crumbled goat cheese before being baked up to a creamy and flavorful result! $23 for the 9” size this week.
