Hi peeps! 🐥
First and foremost, thank you to my customers who had wished me a happy birthday on Tuesday! I genuinely appreciate it a lot and am grateful to develop a relationship with some of my customers outside of making custom baked goods for them. 🩷
I wanted to make an announcement with my bakery business that’s been weighing on me, but after careful consideration, tough conversations with myself, my family, and my medical/care team, I’ve decided to close my bakery until further notice.
DON’T WORRY - if you have an order already placed with me, it will still get fulfilled as none of my procedures will take place until May 1st and beyond.
I’ve been dealing with chronic migraines for the past decade now, along with some other health issues that have come up since having my son May of last year. These migraines, along with other symptoms, have made me begin various tests, which have now found more issues that need treatment, medications, etc.. Despite suffering for years now, I still continued with my business in Indiana, and then eventually transferring and continuing operating here in Ohio. I’ve kept pushing on and on, at times ignoring my health, but these issues are not normal and I view life a lot differently now since having my son and starting my own family. I’m doing a disservice to myself with not putting my health first, and I also don’t want my issues to affect the quality of YOUR order, as I want to give it my best 110% for every order, even if it’s something as simple as plain cupcakes or chocolate chip cookies.
I will definitely be back in the kitchen in the future once my quality of life returns, but as of now and the foreseeable future, my health and family comes first. If your order hasn’t been posted yet, it will be don’t worry, please just give me time. It’s a lot to juggle as well being a one-woman show with the bakery, which has also impacted me as well.
If you’ve read this far, I appreciate it a lot and taking the time to read my statement, as this is hard for me to do since I genuinely love love love baking and decorating, it’s been a passion of mine for years now and I’m truly blessed to of been able to do something I love as many people can’t say the same, and I enjoy seeing the smiles I put on peoples’ faces, but again my sanity and health comes first.
