My house today is filled with the smell of most fragrant freshly baked delicious baklava ❤️ Walnuts, cardamom, saffron and butter resting between 12 hand rolled paper-thin layers of dough.

Coffee or tea on the side and a bite of this will set your mood for the whole day 🌺

Looking back at 2020, there are a lot of thing to be grateful for 🙏

As I approach my 150th cake made since this journey started in August, I am so thankful for what this experience brought to me and, hopefully, the joy these cakes brought to people who gathered together at tables to share them ❤️

New addition to our dessert family - Chocolate Honey Cake aka Spartak 🍫🍯

9 thinnest chocolate honey cake layers with delicate custard cream in between each layer. Covered generously with chocolate glaze and fresh strawberry and sprinkled on the sides with some ground walnuts.

The taste I am proud of ♥️.

Sometimes I am asked to add chocolate where it was not meant to be. Like this strawberry cheesecake that got an extra layer of chocolate glaze and some chocolate dipped strawberries ♥️🍓

Other times I am asked to take chocolate away - like this Soufflé Cake that was stripped off its chocolate glaze, but I did add some replacement decor to preserve its modesty ☺️🤭

Love this moment! ♥️

Many cakes ago I used to dread it, some of them looked like my 6 year old son Max took over at this point 🤣.

Now I find it deeply satisfying. It means the cake is about to fulfill it’s cake destiny - take someone back home to their child memories 🌺
