I haven't introduced myself on here for a while so I thought I'd do that again. My name is Abbey and I'm the creative artist behind Southern Confection. I’m originally from central Florida, but we are a military family so we have moved quite a few times and currently reside in High Springs, FL.

When I was 22 I fell in love with baking after making my daughter’s first birthday cake and cupcakes from scratch. (I had no idea I even knew how to bake.) After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu in 2013, I decided to go for it and Southern Confection was born.

I spend most of my days creating custom cakes and love every minute of it. For me, what I do is so much more than just a job, it's something I picture myself doing for years to come because it gives me the freedom for creativity and the ability to create delicious memories for my clients and I honestly couldn't imagine doing anything else.

I'm also a mom to 3 kiddos and obsessed with watching true crime in my free time.
