Many recipes are from my mother & family recipes, old world desserts from Croatia & Germany. I am Suzka, and I am first generation American. My parents came to America in 1964. My mother Olga is from former Yugoslavia, now Vinkovci, Croatia. My father Ladislav is from former Czechoslovakia, now Slovakia. He grew up in Brataslava. I have been blessed to meet my mom's sister in 1992 in Germany and my mom's other sister in Vinkovci, Croatia in 2004. I pray to one day meet my father's side of the family in Brataslava. All my family lives in Europe. My parents were brave to leave their country and come to America. My mother left her country at 16 and went to live with her uncle in Caracas, Venezuela. She met my father in Venezuela and got married. My mother spoke seven language and my father spoke five languages. I speak three languages with a thirst to learn more languages and travel the world with my husband Rob Stephenson. I bake from my heart & soul and want to learn so much more!!
