I've made the tough decision to close the farmstand for the rest of the year. I tried to keep it going even after the farmer's market concluded, but it proved too difficult while trying to protect my mental health and spend time with my family and friends. The farmstand requires me to be baking every day, and it takes a huge toll on me. The fall time is my absolute favorite season of the year, and my heart is telling me to soak it all up with my family and friends as much as I can. So, the farmstand will be back next year when the weather permits, but is closed officially for the 2026 season. Thank you all so much for making it a great first year!

With that being said, I will still be taking direct orders! So message me here on Facebook, or call or text me at 937-570-8840.

With great thanks,
Summer Berkemeier (Baker and Owner of The Cozy Nook Bakery)

Going forward the farmstand will be a bit unpredictable in terms of availability, I apologize! We are quite busy this fall with family visiting, my brother getting married in Ohio, and fall activities with friends! So there won't be any specific hours of operations. It will be stocked as I am able to fill it. The best way to ensure you get what you are after and when you want it, is to pre-order. You can message me on Facebook, or call or text me at (937) 570-8840, my name is Summer. You can also text me to see if the stand is out so you don't have to make a trip unnecessarily. I apologize for the inconvenience of the instability in hours. It's not how I prefer to conduct business. But as I am the only baker, it simply isn't possible to always have it stocked at the same time every day. Thank you for your understanding! ❤️

For those of you who don't know, this Is Ashley Hickel, from Hickel Family Farm! She is the heart and soul of the Rogers City Farmers Market - Growing Roots in Downtown Rogers City, and the incredible brains behind the operation! It has grown and thrived under her stewardship, and perhaps most unbelievable of all? She does it all volunteer! Our entire community owes her a great debt of gratitude for helping us all thrive and support one another local small businesses. So please join me in giving her a big thank you! Here's to our friend and leader, Ashley Hickel! 🥂 😊
