Good morning everyone!!

I just wanted to update yall about the stand opening here in Texas.

The plan to open a while back didn't work out for a few reasons. 1. because the tall skinny cabinets kept getting blown over everytime we had a strong wind come through. Then, we had something taking out 1-3 of our hens every day so we had to stop free ranging them while we set traps. With them not getting out, they all decided to go broody and hatch eggs. We currently have about 30 chicks right now with almost 40 more set to hatch in the next week and almost 30 more set to hatch in the next 2 weeks. Because of all of these broody mommas, we aren't getting a ton of eggs to keep the farmstand stocked. Next year, we'll have enough eggs to keep the farmstand stocked plus use only fresh eggs in all the baked goods. Now to top it all off, they just announced there will be construction on our road (yes our new road is getting worked on now 🤦‍♀️ we can't escape the road construction no matter where we go) that starts in less than 2 weeks and will happen just past the end of our property. This could potentially block our access at times and is supposed to last about 3 months.

Also, our house in Haughton is under contract which means we will soon start renovating our new house which could take a few months. So I think its safe to say the farmstand won't open until the beginning of next year. Maybe during this time we will be able to make the structure a more enclosed space rather than just the cabinets out there. Im really excited to bring this vision to life here and know that it will be worth the wait 🥰 I just hope when the time comes, yall will still be excited.

Good afternoon!!!

I have missed yall so much!

Some of you may have noticed the name change and bio update with our new address. It is 70 miles or 1 hour and 20 minutes from our old house. I understand thats quite a drive but if anyone is interested in stopping by the new farmstand, ill be very happy to see you!

The new farmstand will be opening soon (hopefully within 2 weeks) and it will be very basic and small scale for now. We still have some renovations to do to our house before we can build the big farmstand.

Our chickens are very happy here. They get to free range and have lots of land to roam on now. The eggs are even better than they were before! And theyll be cheaper at $3/dozen instead of $5/dozen. We also have ducks now so if anyone is interested in duck eggs, let me know!

Cookies will be the first baked goods in the farmstand. I know a lot of yall have reached out about needing your fix!

Ill be planting flowers soon to put in there too!

I have lemon blueberry white chocolate cookies, strawberry white chocolate cookies, browned butter chocolate chip cookies and golden birthday oreo cookies about to go in the stand. Banana breads just now made it into the oven so they will be out there around 2. Sorry there isnt more variety. I ran out if brown sugar and dont want to buy a bunch of ingredients that I have to store and move to the new house.

We have a big announcement!!

This weekend will be the last weekend for baked goods in the farmstand 🥲 Eggs and the free pantry will still be available but the last day for the farmstand is April 30th.

We are listing our house and need to keep it show ready. Baking makes a huge mess when youre doing it all day like i do for the farmstand. We are also trying to get big stuff packed away in storage so my commercial equipment needs to be put away for now.

We are moving to Texas (just Joaquin!) so this is the last time to snag any baked goods unless I do markets in Bossier.

I can't thank all of you enough for the love and support you've shown since August 2023. This has been an amazing journey and I cant wait to show yall the new farmstand in Texas! Ill be keeping the same page so you'll definitely see updates if you keep following 🙂

If you or someone you know, are looking for a really nice 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom house here in countryplace let me know! It sits on .98 acre and most of it is backyard with a large 2 car garage, a detached 2 car shop with a 10x20 utility room on the side, a 12x20 shed with 8ft walls, all windows were replaced in 2024, new roof in 2021, and the 8ft fence is about to be finished on the back side fences were done last year. The house was updated before we bought it in 2019. We have great neighbors! Official listing will be available soon!
