Today, a student at Danville Middle School (the school I grew up in) was brave and courageous enough to speak up, to report a possible firearm on campus, when they felt it necessary — something a lot of adults won’t even do nowadays. I am so grateful that the threat was cleared quickly and that there was no firearm located on the premises. I have seen mixed reactions on the situation, and as a Danville alumni myself, I want to reward this student.
I have been in contact with the parents to let them know that I have a FREE cupcake order waiting for this brave young individual.
