We had the opportunity to do a cake and cookies for our nephew and his beautfiul new bride!

Not everyone knows that Joanna lists among her many many many many skills the art of cake making, but she does, and she does it with all the care, creativity, and sleep deprivation that she applies to her sewing, drawing, singing, painting, macrame, and cookie decorating!

The haters said there was no way that Sts. Martha & Mary Confections could put out 4 orders totaling 200 cookies and a whole wedding cake in one weekend (it was me. I was the hater.), but we did!!!
Did we cry to each other on the phone? Of course we did. Thats what we do.
Did we largely forget to eat anything but coffee for a few days? Kind of. And yeah, that coffee was real strong. We did have to eat it.
Did one of us fall asleep sitting at the kitchen table holding a piping bag? Yes. That did happen. It was crazy.
But with the help of our patron saints, we got it done, and we did it good, and we're so pumped up about how much we've grown this year! Its so fun to make these for people in our communities. We know that yall could go somewhere else for cookies, and you choose to order from us. It really humbles us that you guys keep believing in us, even after you meet us in person...
Thank you!!! We're so grateful to have the opportunity to do this!
