If summer were made into a dessert, this would be it! I made this ice cream sandwich using a @glutenfreeterritory lemon pound cake, sliced it in half and put some strawberry ice cream in between. Try making it at home for the most perfect combo before you transition into fall flavors! 🍓🍨🍋
Crispy on the outside, chewy in the middle. Chocolate chip cookies. Yum. Eat them plain, or make them into an ice cream sandwich. Either way, it'll make your mouth smile. #glutenfreeterritory #eatdessertfirst
We can't wait until we can have way too much fun at Gluten-Free New England expos in person again!! Meeting new people, hugging old friends, and sharing our gf treats. Always a blast!!

The first PRIDE was a RIOT!
I realized lately that a lot of people outside my LGBTQ bubble probably don't even know that. What you normally see of pride now is a parade and party. But the only reason we're even able to do that goes back to June 28, 1969, when police raided the Stonewall Inn in New York City to arrest patrons whose only crime was being themselves (gay), a common occurrence in those times.
That night, the queers fought back.
They refused to give their IDs to the cops. They refused to have their gender checked. Those who were released gathered outside on the street instead of running home scared. More and more people gathered. They started throwing coins to protest the fact that they often had to pay off the cops so they wouldn't be arrested and publicly exposed. Then they started throwing bricks. Then they lit trash cans on fire and smashed up cop cars and looted. And the first people to start the fight--the people that started a movement that led to me being able to be out and open and free today--were black queers and black trans women.
So you see, if I don't have a ton of sympathy for cops, this is why. They enforced the rules that were created to control and harm and install fear in people like me. They still enforce rules that control, harm, and install fear in black and latinx people today.
If I question a "tough on crime" stance, it's because my very act of existing was once criminalized, and still is in many countries. Black and brown lives have been criminalized in multiple forms for centuries--from the fake "war on drugs", to stop-and-frisk, and on and on.
This flag is called the Progress Pride Flag, because it rightfully recognizes the beautiful diversity of the LGBTQ community. It recognizes the foundation of pride that Queer People of Color built for me to stand on today.
Today, I stand with QPOC in the #AllBlackLivesMatter march. Today and always. (rest of the caption in the first comment)
