I inherited my first love of baking from my mother Agnes Tweet Ingram. From an early age, I always remembered my Mother baking. She would collect recipes from newspapers, magazines, and the back of cake mix boxes. She would also gather some of her favorite recipes from her Mother Tommie Harris, Aunts, other family members and friends alike. They are located in her coveted blue recipe book that I hope to pass down to my daughter Brooklyn.
During my Freshman year in college, my schedule was open and I wanted an “easy” class. I selected Art and it changed my life. I always loved color and design but did not think that I could draw or be artistic. This opened up a door for my creativity and my second love for the arts was born.
In February of 2020 I had another job interview for a job that I halfway wanted. It had some benefits but a ton of things that I did not like like a long commute and long hours. I told myself that if I didn’t get this job offer, that I would create my own destiny and start my own business.
I have heard so many times that if you find your passion, you will never work a day in your life. I had to think about what my passion was and B Tweets Cookie Boutique was born. Over the years, I have developed some of my favorite recipes as but have always gravitated towards sugar cookies. I loved the idea that you could take this blank cookie or canvas and make it anything that you wanted.
