Our department is seeking qualified candidates for our 2018-2019 Bunk-In program!
The Fishers Fire Department is a progressive combination department that covers a rapidly growing district, approximately 26 square miles in the Town of Victor. The district includes a portion of the NYS Thruway, Route 490, the Eastview Mall, and several large businesses along the Route 96 corridor.
Our department responds to a variety of Fire/Rescue calls, including first response, which allows students to refine their EMS skills.
Candidates are required to fulfill 24 hours per week on duty with our career staff, and also be available to respond outside of their scheduled shifts. Bunk-In Firefighters have opportunities to train on shift with the career staff, and also during department drill nights weekly. All students will be required to complete a week of department training at the beginning of the school year.
