My journey started in 2022 when I decided to do this crazy thing and joined the Make-A-Wish Alabama TrailBlaze Challenge. I had no idea I would gain more than I could ever give.

2024 will be my 3rd year. And hopefully this will be there year I can fully complete the 26.3 miles. I was so sad when I did not complete it on my 1st try but during my 2nd attempt in 2023, as I was sitting in the waters at the oasis, I realized that this was truly a journey and my journey was not over yet. I declined the last call to finish the last leg of the 26.3 and I sat there in the waters and just reflected on everything I had overcame to just be there in that moment.

Applebarn Apple Pound Cake 🍏

Presentation - .5 ⭐️ (it looked like it was a cake)
Taste - 3.5 out of 4 ⭐️

Per the only judge I had available at 10 PM 😊 Steve Sneyd would have given it 4 out of 4 but it was missing a sugary crumble on the top. No my dear, it’s just missing a top 🤦‍♀️ All due to impatience on my part 😬

I’m sure my other taste tester will not mind if I give this one another go 😏

Who is ready for Valentine’s Day ❤️

I’ll be making Rose textured macarons! Who wouldn’t love to get roses you can eat?!?!?

Grab some of these for your favorite Valentine! Or have your Valentine grab some for you, just send them this post and I’ll take care of the rest!
