Oh September… the introduction to the “BER” months with the heat that just won’t go away! The last 4 months of the year are my favorite to bake in with all the spices, smells and colors that just make home cooking so delicious😋

Our exclusive loaf for the month is the perfect introduction to fall! Order yours now or pick up a loaf (or 2😉🧡) at the Market @ 216 Ranch tomorrow or Saturday.

🌿 Tallow Q & A 🌿

Q: Why use tallow on your skin?
🤎 Tallow is packed with vitamins A, D, E, and K and closely matches our skin’s natural oils, making it deeply moisturizing without feeling heavy.

Q: Is it good for sensitive skin?
✨ Yes! Many people love tallow because it’s simple, nourishing, and free of unnecessary fillers.

Q: Can I use it after being in the sun?
☀️ Absolutely! Our Tallow Balm helps replenish moisture and soothe dry, sun-exposed skin. (It’s not a sunscreen, but it’s a wonderful after-sun moisturizer.)

Q: What makes Down Home Confections Tallow Balm different?
🌾 We keep it simple with wholesome ingredients you can feel good about—because healthy skin starts with quality ingredients.

Sickness has had me down way too long! Who’s ready for some exciting news!? We are now offering our tallow balm in a 2oz jar which is the perfect size for taking your skincare to baseball/softball tournaments to treat that sunburn, the beach for burns and skin irritations and helps you continue your beauty rituals even when you’re on the go.

Even more exciting news, we are proud to introduce Mineral Sun Balm! Our sun balm is non-toxic and includes organic beeswax, non ano zinc, organic coconut oil and grass fed beef tallow. This product as well as the travel tallow will be in our new 2oz amber colored UV resistant glass jars.

BENEFITS FOR FACE & BODY:

• Approximate SPF 30 equivalent (based on 20% zinc oxide)
• Broad spectrum mineral protection
• Supports the skin’s natural barrier
• Car-friendly, heat-stable formula
• Gentle enough for little faces
• Crafted in small batches with care

This balm may leave a light mineral glow — that’s the zinc doing its job.

Apply generously and reapply every 2 hours or after swimming or sweating.
