(TW-loss) Hey everyone! Life has been busy in a really weird way lately. It’s interesting how everything pans out. I canceled tasting boxes in my last post and felt so badly about it but I had so many reasons why I needed to. A week later, right when I would have been in the thick of working on said tasting boxes, I experienced an unexpected pregnancy loss that required an emergency surgery. I have been recovering over the past couple weeks now but have somehow still managed to get everyone’s orders done during that time💪 I didn’t really take any photos and they all weren’t my best work. I ended up discounting everything that went out and even gave one order for free because my effort was weakened. During this time I haven’t shared cakes but here’s from today 🖤 it feels good to try to get back in the swing of things. I return back to my job at Portland Childrens Dentistry this week and I am of course still accepting orders.

This is a post regarding tasting boxes ‼️

Due to a lack of tasting box interest for 2026 thus far, as well a major slow down in orders the past two months. My typical November tasting boxes will NOT go out this month. I will be postponing tasting boxes until further notice and will likely reassess in January of 2026.

If you were expecting to receive a November tasting, I sincerely apologize and I will reach out to you personally right after this post. If you are wondering why a lack of orders for tasting boxes affects your order, it is simply because the cost outweighs the benefit. The price per box is $40.00 and each box requires me to make six different cake flavors, buttercream and fillings. As a small batch bakery I cannot justify the cost of materials for only a few interested tastings.

I’m still happy to schedule your wedding cakes without a tasting box and trust that whichever flavor you pick from my menus, I have confidently mastered! Or I am also happy to refer you to a local bakery who is offering tastings, that are readily available. Thank you for understanding and again I sincerely apologize for any inconveniences ❤️🙏
