Well, mom moments aren’t always winning ones… sometimes they’re drag-your-kid-to-the-car-while-they-cry-the-whole-way kind of moments while trying not to lose your Sunflowers Happily Ignoring Tantrums 🌻🤣. 😅 A little Embarrassing, but hey, tomorrow will be better;)

After Maize’s graduation last night and a busy week.. I think it’s safe to say none of us got quite enough sleep. We baked, grabbed a few snooze hours, woke up and finished packaging, Dad and Liam left for the market, Maize and Mom got ready for dance rehearsal, after, we popped by the market where Brandon was selling all the things and quickly realized we were all a little overtired. Meltdown time 🫠

The day got so much better after a break at home.. and the kids discovered they could talk to each other through a fan and spent way too long having robot-voice conversations. 🤣 Is talking into a fan just a universal kid experience? I remember doing the exact same thing when I was little, and nobody even suggested it to them—they just figured it out on their own.

Some days are productive. Some days are picture-perfect. And some days are just about making it to bedtime. ❤️

Maize had her graduation ceremony for preschool, which meant we missed some prime baking time while celebrating this special milestone as a family. But don't worry—we'll still be up bright and early making sure there are fresh bagels waiting for you in the morning!

Sending this sweet girl off for her last day of preschool today. ❤️

I know everyone says it, but it really does go by in the blink of an eye. It feels like we just dropped her off for her first day, and now we’re celebrating the last.

She’s learned so much, made great friends, and grown in ways that are hard to put into words. We couldn’t be more proud of her.

Now let’s finish this year strong and get ready for a summer full of adventures. ☀️

The color variation will never stop amazing me 🥹🥚

From pale blue to deep brown — every single egg came from our flock today. Nature is pretty incredible.

Also… can we discuss the giant egg?! Somebody deserves extra treats for that one 😂 Poor thing!

Today we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. 🇺🇸

In honor of those who have made great sacrifices, we are planting poppies today — a small but meaningful reminder that freedom is never free and remembrance matters.

Here at MI Towne Homestead, we’re spending the day grateful for the simple things — family gathered close, warm bread on the table, quiet country roads, a little lake time, and the freedoms that make moments like these possible.
