Surprise! We are thrilled to be the roaster of the month for September for Each month, they feature one roaster and the roaster selects a coffee to be shared without any identifying details. Then participants try to determine as much as they can about the coffee (its origin, processing method, elevation, roast profile, and flavor notes) before the final reveal.

Introducing: Coffee Coffee x Patch

A collaboration born from countless conversations, cuppings, experiments, and a shared desire to present coffee in its absolute best light- the way terroir and producer intended.

From Matt:
“Having had the privilege of experiencing German Carranza’s coffees the past 3 harvests, I can personally vouch for an increase in quality year after year. He and his family’s dedication shines through beautifully in the cup. In my opinion, this is the best and cleanest iteration of German’s natural Geisha I’ve had to date. This coffee is also an incredible representation of the hidden gem that is high quality, incredibly complex and dynamic Peruvian coffees. We believe that Peru will only continue to turn heads as German and other Peruvian producers push the boundaries of how their coffee is viewed in the world. We are absolutely thrilled to bring this coffee to you through German and our friends at Yellow Rooster Coffee Importers.”

What to expect in the cup:
We find this natural processed Geisha to be super clean and sweet, with bright florals like cherry blossom and jasmine complimenting clean red fruit sweetness like strawberry. We also find some citric acidity in the cup when hot like kumquat.
This coffee cools into ripe plum and lemon. The acidity is medium high and the body is coating with lingering juicy sweetness.

Tasting Notes:
Cherry Blossom, Orange, Jasmine,
candied raspberry, florals, lemon, red muscadine grape, faint cooked strawberry, clean sweetness

Release No. 5 is finally here. Available for pre-order on our website. Roasting on 04/18/25.

We reached out to Joel and Frank, our friends from , who have been working with producers and farmers for the last 5 years pertaining to Peruvian coffees. Their main goal being: Bringing delicious Peruvian coffees to the US market. They believe, as we do, that Peruvian coffee has long been over looked in the world coffee market. We believe that Peruvian producers and growers deserve recognition for these special coffees that they have put so much work into.

Nancy’s Gesha was grown between 1800-1900 masl at El Pedregal in Cajamarca, Peru. It was hand-picked and sorted for ripeness in August 2024. After being picked, it was pulped and fermented in plastic for 12 hours. Then it was washed, and dried on tarps on the roof of her home for 12-15 days.

We’re so excited for you to try this newest release and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Hey y’all, Matt here! Last week I had the pleasure of taking my Q grader certification course at led by

Getting this certification and professional achievement has been a goal of mine for a few years now and I am so happy to have done it. It was a fun and also challenging week at times for sure but I can’t thank Traci, our assistant instructor and my fellow classmates enough for their encouragement and support this week. I truly learned so much from each of them and couldn’t think of a better group of pros to spend a week cupping and testing with! It was an honor y’all.

I am humbled and honored to now be in an elite group of coffee professionals who are part of moving the industry forward with a common language for specialty quality. Everything I do in my career is focused on pushing the boundaries and moving specialty coffee forward together, and this is a small part of that.

Thank you to all those who have already reached out with congrats and encouragement, I love y’all!

Cheers

Introducing Release No. 3 | pt. 2
Los Rodriguez Pacamara
🍉🌸

In our opinion, this coffee presents every great characteristic that the pacamara varietal has to offer. Not only does it bring big flavors, but it also has a very lively acidity and coating mouthfeel. The fact that the Rodriguez Family used the carbonic maceration process on this pacamara only enhanced the flavor profile and elevated all of the fantastic qualities in the cup. Our desire is to present this coffee as a great example of the advanced processing methods that is known for, not just in Bolivia, but around the world.

Pre-orders open tomorrow.
Roasting on June 20.
Shipping on June 21.
