Ahh, I almost forgot to do my yearly post (It's still January, it counts)!! Happy FOUR years, Lissy's Bits n' Bites!! 🎉 And what a year it was, holy cow!

Started off the year with a bang. If you didn't know, I had heart valve replacement surgery at the end of January. Took a few months to fully recover from that, and honestly, I think the monotony of those days inspired me to create! I think I made some of my most fun shaped macarons this year, including bunnies for spring, hot dogs for July, and more recently, gingerbread men for the holidays! Can't wait to do some more of that this year. (ALWAYS looking for suggestions. Bring em on!)

I also joined the group last year! These guys have inspired me to make some really cool stuff, like adorable choux turtles 🐢, and a cat themed bento box! So excited for the creative themes for 2026!

All in all, it was a pretty great year. Despite it being a TOUGH year for small businesses, I am so happy with the friendships I've continued to make with other vendor friends, and sense of community I've found in the Creston area and beyond.

Love you guys, time to kick some ass this year 😎💖

You could say that this Halloween season has been...Peak 😎

I'm so pleased with our costumes this year! Patrick and I went as our scouts from the game Peak ( ), and all the badges on my sash are the ones I have in the game! This turned on my creative brain and I had so much fun doing it.

🚨 LAST MARKET OF THE SEASON ALERT 🚨

I'm closing out the season with a BANGER of a show - The Artprize Market with .and.makers! I did this show back in 2023, and it was easily my biggest show to date. This time, we're smack dab in the middle of downtown, so I can imagine it's gonna be even bigger! I'm even right next to my favorite comic shop ! 😎

I'll have some of my favorite fall flavors of cookies and macarons, as well as some other bits n' bites (mini cakes & rice krispie treats 👀)! So come out and enjoy some art from local creators, and check out the maker's market! Hope to see you there! 💖

Sorry I've been a bit MIA from the socials lately, I think I needed a little break. But I'm BACK this week at the ! Check out the flavors this month, cause we got some absolute bangers in there. Some of your faves! See below for some descriptions:

Cookies:
🍪Brown Butter Choc Chip (you know this one, duh!)
🍪Michigan Munchies (All made in MI inclusions, like Better Made potato chips, Sanders salted caramel, dried cherries)
🍪Oatmeal Raisin (oats, cinnamon, and raisins - very cozy, very homey!)
🍪S'mores (Toasted mini marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers! So good!)

Macarons:
💖Blueberry Lemon (Blueberry buttercream, lemon curd center)
💖Mocha (Chocolate shells, coffee ganache filling)
💖PB&J (just in time for back to school! PB buttercream, strawberry jelly center)

Happy 4th of July!
I don't particularly feel like celebrating our country right now because of *gestures wildly,* but I had a LOT of fun making these hot dog macarons 😍 And we gotta take the little victories where we can, right?
Contrary to my Twitch chat's beliefs, I can promise you that these do NOT in fact taste like hot dogs, they're vanilla 😂
Hope you guys found a little bit of joy today, in spite of the chaotic world. 💖

Guys. Can you believe it's July already?!? That's bonkers.

It's gonna be a bit of a slower month for me over here. I'll be at the Creston Farmers Market () every other week slingin' cookies and macarons as per usual! Check out this month's flavors too, I've got some good ones for ya!

As I tend to do, especially for the first market of the season, I baked way too much! 😅 If you want some macarons, I have a bunch left! Flavors are in the post. I'll be selling these at a discount too, see below:

1/2 dozen macarons: $10 (usually $15!)
1 dozen macarons: $25 (usually $30!)
(if you want other quantities, I can work with that too! Lemme know)

Recently I joined a Twitch group called , which gives us monthly challenges to tackle. This month's was "choux pastry." OF COURSE I had to try 's choux turtles! 🐢 I think they're pretty dang cute, and the pistachio creme diplomat was tasty too!
Looking forward to seeing what the minotaur challenges us to bake next month! Bring it on!
