🌸Meet The Little Button Baker🌸
Heyyyy there Everyone🌿 My name is Mikayla & I am the owner, baker, and creative behind Little Button Bakery L.L.C. I am so beyond stoked you are here💕
A little about myself:
I am 27 years young, a full time nanny, avid adventurer & dog mom of 3. I was raised in Alaska & moved to various different places across the country before falling completely in love with Mesa County. Where ultimately, I found was the best place to lay some roots after a seven year “seasonal work” stint. I’ve worked so many cool jobs throughout the years within the fishing industry of Alaska, whilst fueling my passion for childcare on the off season. I am currently a full time nanny, on top of making bomb sourdough bread. During my off time I enjoy anything & everything outside, from gardening to hiking, paddling to camping alongside my partner & 3 rowdy dogs🐕🏔️🌞
I started sourdough with a goal to sustain my household on homemade, simple ingredient, & gut healthy bread. For that first year, though there were many fails, I was successful in not having to purchase even one store bought bread product or baked good. After some time strolling through the local markets & the towns in general I noticed a void in locally based eateries & the local sourdough market. I had this vision that I could sustain other households, families and friends with the same high quality, low ingredient bread as I had in my own home the previous year. I wanted to create a product that felt professional but still had that warm, homemade with love feel🌾
My passion for this business was fueled by many who had tried my sourdough, & encouraged me to enter that void in the local market. My ultimate goal is for my community to have access to affordable, healthy, &locally made delicious sourdough. I want to be the entity you come to when you put “bread” on your shopping list, an everyday household item.
Sourdough and this business has opened SO MANY unimaginable doors & opportunities for me though I find the GREATEST JOY in knowing families, friends & my community rely on me to keep bread on their table.
With that, I simply cannot wait to see you at the markets this year🌿🌸🍯
