🥖 Sunday Porch Pickups at Ash & Grain?! 🤎

I've been tossing around a fun little idea and would love your feedback!

I'm thinking about offering a weekly Sunday Porch Pickup, with a little something special each week!

🏡 Here's how it would work:

🥖 Preorders Only! Each week, I'd post a menu of available sourdough goodies so you can place your order ahead of time.

🛍️ Easy Porch Pickup! Your order would be freshly baked, packaged, labeled with your name, and ready for you to grab right from my porch during a designated Sunday pickup window. No waiting around, just grab your goodies and go!

🥐 Sunday Exclusive! Each week, I'd feature ONE special item available only for that Sunday's pickup! It could be a unique sourdough flavor, a sweet treat, a seasonal favorite, or something completely new!

✨ Limited Quantities! Everything would be made fresh in small batches, so preordering would guarantee your goodies before they're gone.

I'm hoping this could become a fun little Sunday tradition — fresh sourdough, easy pickup, and a new surprise to look forward to each week!

One of my favorite things I started doing with Ash & Grain a few months ago is randomly showing up at our local fire stations with boxes of fresh baked sourdough bread and goodies. ❤️🚒

Every so often, I randomly load up some fresh baked sourdough goodies and drop them off at one or a couple of the local fire stations in Gold Canyon and AJ.

I never started doing this hoping to gain a single thing from it. No recognition, no promotion, no expectation of anything in return.

I simply wanted to give back in a small way and recognize the men and women who willingly put themselves in risky situations to protect, help and save complete strangers.

And then I get messages like these. 🥹

They’re never expected, but they mean more than they probably realize. Just like the times I've received an amazing hug from a complete stranger when I needed it most. It’s just a little reminder that something as simple as showing up with a box of homemade baked goods really is appreciated. ....sometimes I show up at the right and give goodies during a workout and while I'm walking away hear "I'm definitely not finishing this workout now, I need one of these!" 😂

If I could spend all day baking and make my way across the entire Valley dropping off sourdough to every station, I absolutely would. 😂 Unfortunately, my oven and I have some limitations.

So for now, I’ll keep randomly loving on my local stations whenever I can. No schedule. No expectations. No reason needed. Just wanting to give a random box of fresh baked sourdough goodness and a little thank you for everything you do. ❤️🚒

Okay… this might be the most beautiful loaf I’ve ever pulled out of my oven. 🥰🫐🍋

Blueberry Lemon Sourdough Loaf 💜

One thing I’ve learned with sourdough is that sometimes the dough just has a mind of its own. 😂 I can use the exact same process, the same measurements, the same ingredients, the same mixing process—and somehow, no two loaves ever behave exactly the same.

Proofing. Fermenting. Shaping. Baking. Sometimes the dough cooperates… and sometimes it decides it knows better than I do. 🤷🏻‍♀️

And then every once in a while, it gives you THIS.

That scoring. Those blueberries bursting through. The swirls of blueberry and lemon throughout. That perfectly golden crust. 🤌🏻

This beautiful loaf is proof that sometimes you just have to trust the process and let the dough do its thing.

Pure sourdough perfection. 🤗💜

🥖 Your weekly reminder that grocery-store bread is about to feel very disappointing.

Ash & Grain is baking up the good stuff, and weekly orders are OPEN! 🤎

Whether you need your regular loaf for the week, want to stock up on bagels and english muffins, or you’ve been thinking about trying a new flavor of scones or a custom inclusion loaf — message me your order and I’ll get you on the baking schedule.

Everything is made to order, so please allow 2–3 days lead time. I do not keep baked items on hand.

And as always… if you have a flavor idea that sounds a little ridiculous but also potentially delicious, tell me. 😂 I’m always willing to give it a try.

Fresh sourdough. Made to order. Baked with love and probably way too much flour all over my kitchen.

Come on over the Gold Canyon Art Gallery Saturday from 10am-1pm to see some beautiful artwork and pick up some homemade sourdough! Last week I did not have any full size loaves with me but......I will this time!! I will have some regular, croissant and jalapeno cheddar loaves available.

September is officially wrapping up, which means it’s almost time to give away some free Ash & Grain goodies. 🤎

I had two giveaways running this month:

🤎 Strength in Simplicity Community Giveaway — I asked you guys to nominate someone deserving of a little sourdough love. I didn’t receive any nominations this month, so we’ll tuck this one away and try something like it again another time.

🍞 Customer Appreciation Giveaway — Every single person who placed an order with Ash & Grain during September was automatically entered to win a FREE custom-inclusion sourdough loaf!

Tomorrow, I’ll put everyone who ordered this month into a random generator and let it choose our winner. No favorites, no funny business... just letting the generator decide who gets some free carbs. 😂
