THANK YOU to everyone who placed a merch or candle order 💛 orders are packed and ready to boogie to your home to make your September days a little cozier!

If you missed out on pre-order ~ I do have hats and merch ready to ship now on my website (loonlakecandles.com) ✨ I will be bringing any remaining to Grape Stomp if you are headed there this year.

Plus I have extended the end of summer candle sale (20% off remaining candles) 🥰

I was hit with a bug this past week that knocked me down but I am in full blown Grape Stomp prepping mode now and ready for all things fall 🍂

To be honest I’m not sure when I’ll be launching fall on the website, it’s been an incredibly busy season so far from wholesale orders and family commitments ~ and I may have to launch whatever is left over after the Stomp. Is October too late to launch?

Next year I’ll start prepping sooner, I promise 😅

I’ve been asked if it’s time to hire help, and honestly no, I’m not ready to extend and teach ~ in fact, Dylan was supposed to help me pack these orders last night and I got razzled with “maker needs to be in control brain” and kicked him out of the studio 😭 why are we like this, makers?

And so, I am allowing what’s on my plate to be enough and extending when I can.

To me, August is a burp.

It is loud, smelly, and unabashedly hot 🤢🥵

I am a lover of the cold, winter = my time to shine. So slowly I morph into a Summer Scrooge when August bursts through the door without knocking once again.

It was a chaotic month, with 5 candle classes, 1 vendor show, 50 online orders, 10 wholesale orders, and one bachelorette party ~ I can (barely) confidently? say I made it to the other side unscathed.

Aside from moving 100 miles a minute in my business life, I found refuge in slow porch mornings, journaling, time with family, and reading (current read: The Wolf at Twilight by Kent Nerburn - so far, amazing)

I guess that is what August is about, right? Soaking up everything you can before the sun sets at 5pm again.

Perhaps next year I’ll embrace August more like a friend.. or maybe I might book a flight to the coldest place on earth at the time. I guess it’ll remain to be seen.

P.S. if you’re into the woo woo of it all, the full moon eclipse is making its way very soon ~ have your dreams been wild or wonky this week too? Mine have been nutso.

Krista from Northern Print Co. | Minnesota did such a fab job with this collection! Once all pre-orders are placed, Krista will work her magic and get them completed and I’ll get them shipped to you!

Have you ever been to Waterama in Glenwood, MN?

If so, I would love to hear your favorite Waterama story!

Back in high school I was a lifeguard at Glenwood City Beach with my bestie and we could not WAIT for our shifts to get over to hit up the street dances and fireworks of the weekend 🎆

Waterama was always the last drop of summer before fall sport practices began and routines started over for the school year. It’s the weekend where everything is in full bloom and we’d give it our last squeeze to soak up all the summer we could. The memories are filled with smells of grilling, getting ready together only to sweat off our Bath and Body sprays the moment we’d step outside, and laughter… lots and lots of laughter 💛

This custom order and restock will be available at Northern Print Co. | Minnesota for Waterama. This year’s limited edition beach candle filled with notes of lake water, lily in bloom, and coastal musk 🌊
