Bread by Veronica- dba "Throwin' Dough" I do not have a traditional Brick & Mortar type store...yet. I solely do "upon request" orders for m How does one start baking artisan bread? WOW!

For me, it all began in my mother’s kitchen at a very early age of watching & helping my mom cook. I always had a keen interest & high curiosity, so creating in the kitchen was a natural fit for me. I made my very first loaf of yeast-risen bread at age 10 (almost 40 years ago!). We ALWAYS had fresh, homemade bread at our home and I was now tasked to bake 5 loaves of simple white bread every week a

s part of my “chores”. Over the years I’ve honed my culinary skills to include a whole host of what would now be considered advanced to expert. In the late winter/spring of 2020, our world entered a pandemic. It was at this time that I was off work from my regular job due to COVID-19. I decided that I would use this time to create my first line of wild yeast derived sourdough levain (aka- starter). It wasn’t difficult & soon I turned out my first loaf of sourdough boule. It was beautiful & tasted awesome. When I was called back to work in the healthcare industry I worked, I brought with me some sourdough boules to share with my co-workers. The next thing I know, I have a menu. I started buying flour by the 25lb sack. Next came a tax ID...then a business account on Amazon. What the heck did I just do?!?!?! Well, it seems, I became a woman-owned small business! Welcome to my page & look for more content as I navigate this adventure
