The ember isn't going out. It's just changing hands.

I've been sitting with how to write this for a while now.

Due to a chronic illness that has been taking more and more from me physically, I've had to make one of the hardest decisions — to find Ember & Bloom its next chapter.

This business was built with everything I had. Every recipe, every label, every late night perfecting a sourdough score — it was all love. And this community showed up for it in ways that genuinely moved me to tears.

But my body is asking me to rest. And I have to listen before it changes the standard of my high-quality baked goods.

The good news? Ember & Bloom is not disappearing. I am actively looking for the right person — someone local to Gig Harbor — to take over or license this business and keep serving this community the allergen-friendly baked goods they deserve.

A little update from my corner of the world. ✨

I’ve been taking some intentional time to recoup and breathe, but I’ve also been busy behind the scenes prepping "all the things..."

I am so excited to see your faces this weekend! Come grab a bagel from B’s Bagels and shop the amazing two-day vendor spread that Brittany has put together (yes there's double the Brittany energy at this event! 👯‍♀️).

We finally made the trip to snohomish to see in person. Thanks to my sweet fiancee, Bryan!

After many messages back and forth, it was so good to finally meet Lauren. Being a small owner of a home bakery myself, I have so much admiration for her story and the work she’s put in.

We spent some time talking about the real-life trials of perfecting a gluten-free croissant—the grit it takes is no joke. The gluten-free community is lucky to have her and her team!

Thank you, Lauren, for stepping away from your exciting scheduling to talk all things bakery with us. I think we’re all over the moon that you brought these incredibly delicious, allergen-friendly bakery favorites to the pnw.

It was worth the wait & every mile. 🫶🏼🌼

Better late than never, right?

Saturday was all about getting this GF + Vegan Chocolate Caramel bunny to its family, and Sunday was finally for me.

We road-tripped to Snohomish to meet Lauren at Grain—I’ve been dying to try her amazing GF treats for over a year and they did not disappoint! (Trip reel coming soon).

I promised a peek at this one, so here she is in all her ruffly glory. Hope your Easter was as sweet as this!

I’m so excited to be accompanying the most handsome best man to celebrate the Mr. & Mrs. to-be!

This year, I am striving for alignment, intentionality, and grace—finally finding my true place in this world.

Slowing down is teaching me every day to be aware of presence and reminding me to stay grounded. I am rooting into gratitude to find my purpose, and this wonderful community has, in turn, helped me to find these answers.

I know many of you have asked for this for months, and I thank you for the grace you've shown while I met this phase of my business at my own pace. I wanted to create something different—something more than just a pickup or a "sold out" notification on a screen. I wanted to offer a shared ritual.

Taking a warm and cozy winter break in Tuscon, AZ! ❄️🏜️🎄

I am closed for the season, but I’m already looking forward to baking for you in 2026. I’ll be back and re-opening for orders on January 4th to bring more gluten-free and vegan goodness to my favorite customers, neighbors & friends in my little town of Gig Harbor.
