Kids cakes are probably my favorite cakes to make! Of course, there can be a disconnect with the reality that these guys take longer than wedding cakes to create.
So, the quote I hear most when I tell someone the budget for a custom kids cake goes something like this: "What?!! It's for a kids party, not a wedding!!" Yeah, I get that :) Folks, our work is not priced based on the type of party, who eats it, or how fancy the house is. The price is based on: the scale, complexity, and servings. 90% labor and 10% butter and sugar.
