Praying for this beautiful girl and her bakery too. ❤️

We are currently going on 34 hours in the ER.

I know I sound like a broken record, but this system is so incredibly broken.

Why are we still sitting in an ER room? Because Kennedy needs temporary placement for stabilization, and we’re waiting for someone, somewhere, to have an available bed.

Right now, there are no options in Illinois. The only placement offered was in Indiana, which we respectfully declined due to Kennedy’s experience there last November.

So we wait.

We wait for a phone call. We wait for an opening. We wait for answers.

In the meantime, there have been lots of tears, lots of frustration, and a whole lot of uncertainty.

Kennedy deserves better than spending days in an ER room while everyone searches for help. Families navigating these situations deserve better too.

If you’ve sent messages and I haven’t responded, please understand. We’re taking it one hour at a time and hoping something opens up soon.

Thank you for the prayers, encouragement, and patience. We could use all of it right now.

I was in knead of using up some dough that was over proofed by a day or so. I decided to try making it into focaccia bread.
Olive oil, everything bagel seasoning and we’ll top it with some cheese after reheating for dinner tonight.

Geez if it tastes near as good as it looks, we may have to make it a regular on the menu.

We are grateful for all of you who came in today to visit our little Bakery if you’re in town tomorrow, stop by our tent and see what we have going on. We’ll be set up by 5 at Wiley Park!

Frankie is ready to open up the front of the store. We have cinnamon rolls, cherry turnovers, turtle and cinnamon crunch coffee cake and brownies.
In the oven I have some focaccia everything bagel bread. Sorry I didn’t have time to make more but we will be vending on Sunday at Wiley Park starting at 5 PM for Levitt AMP Galva Music Series. Come visit our tent. Say hi to Kerry,

I am feeling optimistic today. Only a 35-40% chance of rain this evening.
