Hey everyone! 👋🏼 Levitt AMP Music Series is back in Galva, which means we are packing up Frankie’s golf cart and getting ready for a sweet summer.
We’ll be set up and ready to go by 5:00 PM tonight, so come grab your spots and your snacks before the music starts at 6!
Here’s what we’re bringing from the bakery this week:

-Cinnamon Rolls
-Fruit Pizza
-Cheesecake
-Lemon Lush Parfaits
-Strawberry Shortcake
-Brownies
-Cookies
-Cakes
-Puppy Chow

ALSO, we are trying something totally new this year! So excited!
We’re setting up a Build-Your-Own Dessert Bar. You can pick a base (cheesecake, fruit pizza, parfaits, cookies, brownies, or mini cakes) and load it up EXACTLY how you want it.
We’ve got all the toppings: Crushed Oreos, graham cracker crumbs, puppy chow, Heath pieces, Reese’s Pieces, pecans, granola, fresh fruit, lemon or cherry pie filling, chocolate and caramel syrups, frosting, and whipped cream.
We will be hanging out until the concert ends or until we completely sell out (which happens fast, so don't wait too long!).

I dragged myself out of bed at 4:30 to tackle not one but two batches of dough for a super special order - yeah, I'm a baking rockstar!
I managed to whip up 14 dozen dinner rolls in three hours flat, start to finish. 💪

Now, Frankie's getting all gussied up to be an usher at a wedding in Bishop Hill this afternoon - kid's practically bouncing off the walls.
Don't worry, next weekend we'll be baking up another storm here, ready to roll... literally.

I’m sorry to announce that we are not going to be open on Friday as we are still working on Frankie’s certification and our game plan going forward while I am now working full time.

We will not be open Saturday as Frankie is an usher at a wedding. 😄

The weekend went by so quick! We had folks from all around visit us this weekend!
We had the usual round table of us, Henry Stark Health Dept gals, along with a couple from Lindenhurst*, ladies from St Louis, Cabin Fever Friends, Peoria Peeps, Wyoming, Abingdon, Colona, Bardstown, Monmouth, Galesburg, Cambridge, Geneseo and Kewanee.

Finally I can tell you about some changes coming to the bakery. 😊
🎉Frankie is taking the lead on Fridays. With help from my family, we will bake and prepackage our treats so that Frankie can manage the sales 💰with a little help from Dad or one of our friends. We will open Fridays and Saturdays from 9-12 & don’t forget we’ll be at Wiley Park every Sunday evening this summer for Levitt Amp Galva Music Series 🎶. Our intent is to keep the bakery open for Frankie and the special needs community, as it is so important to them. 😄

I, Mama Margaret, will be working full time at OSF in Peoria at the Children’s Hospital of Illinois Monday through Friday. The importance of a regular paycheck and the benefits are so important at this stage of my life. After 7.5 years at the bakery, I feel like I needed a new challenge to keep my mind sharp. Heck, I’ve got about 15 years to build a nest egg for retirement. I’m honestly looking forward to working outside the bakery. You know I’ll be in my happy place working with the kids and their families at the hospital.

Today we celebrated Bad Betty! Her birthday is right around the corner and we wanted to have a little celebration for her.
We were joined by the guys from IDOC for some ice cream cake! We had a great time.
Shortly after, Thrive showed up at the park across the way so Frankie and I got to visit them too!
All in all, a great day!
