Overheard in Nordstrom yesterday: "I had the best rugelach & they were so cute, like little bow ties!"
When asked where she found said rugelach I was told, "At Whole Foods. They're made by a local bakery."

Too early for dessert? NEVER!!!!! We're busy baking for our demo at The Market at River Falls in Potomac Village. We're most greatful to the Market for carrying a large selection of our treats which we will be sharing with all of our friends, old and new, at the Market on Saturday afternoon. We'll be there at 1:00 until who knows. Come on by and try the Rugelach. Mandelcotti, Macaroons, Chocolate Toffee Shortbread and Honey Apple Cakes.

It's been an interesting 24 hours. Mid-day on Tuesday the kitchen went dark. Total power outage. No refrigeration, no ovens, no nothing. We did manage to get an emergency workaround that kept the freezer and walk-in going. Electrician managed to put a band-aid on the main breaker so we had enough juice to run the ovens overnight. Happy to say we managed to bake off and deliver all of the Wednesday orders. Final fix is underway now and we should be back in full operation this evening. Gotta love a great electrician.

Big week for Me & 3. Demo at Whole Foods Kentlands last night and sold out almost the entire delivery that we made in the morning. Will be visiting the Georgetown Whole Foods 4 to 6 today and the Bethesda Whole Foods (River Road) on Saturday, 1 to 3. Stop by to say hello and sample the goodies.
