What do you do for MCPD and how long have you been with the department?
Public Safety Communications Manager, 16 (years) collectively.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Volunteer teaching, community service, and singing.
Who is the most influential woman you know and why?
The most influential woman in my life is Shirley Coleman. She is an 80-year-old woman who has beaten breast cancer twice and is living with a heart condition who continues to travel and manages to make others smile. She truly is kindhearted and continues to uplift those she comes in contact with. She often says, "If you don't quit, you will reach your goal so keep going."
Why do we need a special month to honor women?
We are an important part of history. Every woman has a story to share, which is a gift of encouragement for others.
