Hello,
My name is Tammy Maren the wife of Mike Maren ,2 time State Cross Country Champions ,2021’ and 2022’ at Buchholz HS. I myself a former distance runner, my daughter Cali the mother of a 9 year old interested in running, and Carl her husband a UF Gator football player who was a 4 year starter on the OL of the 2 time National championship team would like to start a running program after school for 4-6 graders . We would like some feedback to see if any parents are interested in having their child participate? We would like to have a no pressure fun environment to learn running skills with light conditioning that can prepare the kids to go on to a higher level of running or other sports. We have found there is no programs for 4-6 graders unless they are in a private school who have running programs for this age group. We would like to have practice, workouts…. from 4-5:30 M-Th at Santa Fe College field. We would charge a minimal fee. We would also love for parents to come and participate if they like. A good way to get a daily run in or a good workout. We are looking for feedback to see if any are interested in such a program. If we get a few that are interested we will post a start date.
