Last week was National EMS week, and I did not forget our friends at Cumberland Fire & Rescue! 👨‍🚒 🚑 🚨

These bakery style Chocolate Chip cookies 🍪 are the most PERFECT cookies I’ve ever made or had, and they’ve officially made it into my ‘secret recipe book’ 😉

The cupcakes are a moist and fluffy vanilla sponge with a chocolate and vanilla twist on top!

ROAR!! 🦖💚

This adorable “Roar! I’m 4!” dinosaur cake stomped its way out of Katie’s Kitchen yesterday for one very special birthday boy! 🥳 Featuring rich chocolate sponge cake layered with smooth vanilla buttercream filling, this cake was just as delicious as it was cute! 🤤 And let’s not forget the baked meringue cookie “swirls” on the top! 🤌🏻 So sweet and delicious!

The stars of the show are the two sweet little dinos perched on the cake — 3D printed and hand painted by yours truly! 🎨✨ Not only did they make the perfect cake toppers, but they also double as keepsakes for the birthday boy long after the last slice is gone 🥹

I absolutely LOVE being able to combine edible art with lasting little treasures to make birthdays even more magical 💚🦕

Another SUPER fun cake rolled out of Katie’s Kitchen today!! 🎮🏁🍄✨

This one was all about Mario Kart chaos and I am OBSESSED with how it came together! The bottom tier features a carved race track wrapping around the front of the cake with Mario and Luigi absolutely tearing up the track in their karts! 🏎️💨 Featured alongside them are some of the birthday boy’s favorite characters — Donkey Kong, Toad, Shy Guy, Bowser, and Bowser Jr. bringing all the classic Mario mayhem to the party! 🔥

Flavor lineup? SO good. 🤤
The top tier is my chocolate chip sponge with vanilla buttercream and chocolate chip filling… basically a giant chocolate chip cookie in cake form! 🍪 The bottom tier is Cookies-N-Cream — rich chocolate sponge layered with vanilla buttercream and crushed Oreos throughout! 🖤🤍

The figures used on this cake were both 3D printed and hand painted by me!

This cake felt like stepping into another world 🌌🐺🐉

For Ronan’s 15th birthday, I created this dreamy 2-tier Lemon Blueberry cake 🫐🍋 (seriously… to DIE for 🤤) inspired by his vision of the Aurora Borealis glowing over the wilderness. The design features shimmering geodes, a wild howling wolf, and is topped with a sleeping dragon resting beneath the northern lights ✨

Every detail was handcrafted (dragon-3D printed 👏🏻) to bring this magical scene to life, and I am OBSESSED with how it came together! 💙💜💚

Good morning!! This theme might officially win “most fun ever” 🤩

This cake was created for an “Is It Cake?” party (how cool is that?!) and the goal was to blend in with the decoys… so naturally, we went BIG. Like… enormous big 😂

This Lego-style chest cake is by far the heaviest cake I’ve ever made! To pull it off, I baked six full batches of strawberry cake, stacked and filled with smooth vanilla buttercream, then coated the entire thing in a thick layer of chocolate ganache to get those super clean, sharp edges. Once it was carved and structured, it was fully covered in fondant and airbrushed to match the decoy as closely as possible.

And for that final touch? A layer of edible glaze to give it that perfect shiny, plastic-like finish 👀✨

Honestly… I really wish I had weighed it because this thing was a BEAST 😂

Now the real question is… is it cake? 😏

This fun 2-tier design was packed with delicious flavors:

This one was such a FUN one to create 🤩💛

A super cute 2-tier SpongeBob cake went out the door this morning for Carter’s 7th birthday! 🥳🎂
Top tier: rich red velvet with cream cheese filling 🤤
Bottom tier: marble with vanilla buttercream (a classic fave!)

This cake is full of personality—featuring SpongeBob, Gary, Patrick, and Plankton, plus a few of those adorable little jellyfish… all handmade from fondant! 🪼✨ And yes—SpongeBob is even holding his jellyfish net 😂

I had the BEST time bringing this one to life, and I’m honestly a little obsessed with how cuuuute it turned out 😍

Big news from Katie’s Kitchen! 🎂✨

I’m so excited to share that I will be competing in the Maine State Cake Decorating Championship again this year on August 22nd! After taking 2nd place in the Professional Division last year, I can’t wait to challenge myself again and be surrounded by so many incredibly talented decorators.

But the real exciting news in our house… my 9-year-old daughter decided she wanted to give it a try too! 🥹 Last night she officially entered the Junior Division, and honestly, I might be even more excited about that than competing myself. Watching her want to jump into the creative world of cake decorating is such a proud mom moment. 🤍

We’ll be practicing together, probably making a mess together, and definitely having a lot of fun along the way. Win or lose, I already know this is going to be a memory we’ll both treasure forever. 💕

Wish us luck on August 22nd! 🤞✨
