Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli 😍😋
ngredients:
1 lb ground beef
½ onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 (13.8-oz) can refrigerated pizza dough
1 (8-oz) package shredded mozzarella cheese
1 (8-oz) bottle Parmesan-peppercorn dressing, divided
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Cook the Beef and Vegetables:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat. Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the vegetables are soft, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Prepare the Dough:
Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle, about 14x10 inches.
Assemble the Stromboli:
Spread half of the Parmesan-peppercorn dressing over the pizza dough, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges. Evenly distribute the cooked beef and vegetable mixture over the dressing. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
Roll the Stromboli:
Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough up tightly into a log, sealing the edges as you go. Place the Stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Tuck the ends under to seal.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
Serve:
Slice the Stromboli into thick pieces and serve with the remaining Parmesan-peppercorn dressing on the side for dipping.
