Does it bother you that the banana bread in the picture isn't straight? My OCD is acting up and there's nothing I can do about this picture now because I don't have anymore banana bread to photograph! Ugh, at least it was delicious. I love that stone fruit season goes until October! So, when I see a box of yellow peaches at Trader Joe's, I am always compelled to buy them. I discovered my love for them when Tim (my husband) and I went to Paris a few years ago. We walked into this restaurant in Montparnasse, called La Rotonde. Growing up in a traditional Filipino household, you would never find sausage gravy on the menu. It wasn't until I was about 8 or 10-ish years old that I was introduced to it. It's the first weekend of Fall and I can't be more excited for it since it's my favorite season! OK, so California doesn't really experience it until late October, but it won't stop me from making one of my go-to comfort foods. I host a few Thanksgiving feasts every year, and every time, I make my buttermilk honey biscuits. Back in February 2015, my husband and I went to Kauai for the first time. By the third day on the island, I was in tears and on the brink of having a meltdown because I wasn't feeling it at all. Dear friends - we have decided that HEB will be closing at the end of August. Simply put - we just no longer have the passion to continue working on this venture. We will be refunding all remaining subscriptions by August 31st. It's a sad time at HEB, but we wouldn't want to keep this going if our hearts and minds aren't in it 100%! Thanks for all the support and hopefully, in a few years, we'll reopen - bigger and better!

We're keeping it simple this month with our Olive Oil cakes! Inspired by a delicious treat we had in Paia, Hawaii a few months ago, we adapted Thomas Keller's Bouchon recipe to make these moist cakes our own!

Normally we would add fresh fruit on top, but since they don't travel well, we have added a different type of fruit preserve in each of them!

Flavors:
1) Fig | 2) Peach | 3) Lingonberries

We know these aren't the typical, chocolate heavy treats you normally see from us, but since it's Summer, we have to find a way to keep baking without compromising our baked goods when we ship them to you. So, we are challenging ourselves by coming up with desserts that are simple, yet equally delicious! We hope you enjoy them!

Hey guys! We apologize for the delay and the lack of notifications for our TOTM reveals. We've been extremely busy and seldom get a chance to work on our prototypes each month. We wanted to let all of you know that July's TOTM has been canceled. Our supply packages were never received, therefore we were unable to fulfill orders this weekend. We have been investigating this matter and it turns out our deliveries were stolen. :(

We're really sorry and disappointed that we have to push TOTMs back a month, so we'll be sending each of you a note.

June TOTM customers. Seems USPS messed up on our deliveries and we are now finding out that some of you didn't receive your package.
