How can Esperanza’s be an awesome place to eat (breakfast anyway) but Joe T’s suck so bad?
What does it take to get a call from the manager????
still waiting on a call from the "manager"...
A most unsatisfactory experience. Probably will not return. I have been a patron here for many years. We have tried to be supportive through the Cove crisis and ordered take out several times, always being pleased with the food. We returned to the dining room once it e-opened for table service. Although some changes were observed, all seemed reasonable. One facet was no more salt and pepper shakers on the table. When we asked for some, tiny packets were province. I uerstand this, but found it difficult to open and get enough salt to satisfy my taste. I sat noted to bring my own shaker of salt when I returned. This I did today. Other changes have been made since my last visit, and these are not at all pleasant. 1). No more venues. You have to have a smart cellular telephone to access a code on a paper placed under the plexiglass. I do not have a smart phone, so this did not work for me. NOTE: Some patrons might come in without any cellular telephone. Not so much an impossible issue for me as I know the menu well enough to order what I want. 2). No more silverware. Today, only pre-packaged plasticware of the poorest quality individually packaged with a flimsy and small paper napkin. This is not acceptable, nor manageable. I placed my order, received my food, which looked wonderful. However, this flimsy plasticware was not capable of cutting or eating the food. The waitress come and noticed I had not eaten the food, and asked if/what the problem was. I explained the cheap disposable plasticware was not suitable for the meal I ordered. I asked for the now cold food to be removed, and to speak to the manager. A problem cannot be address, or corrected, or made right if the business is not made ware. Th manager did not come out. When the check presented, the waitress had removed my meted order. Good. I asked if she had informed he manager. She replied in the affirmative. I asked why the manager did not come out to speak with me, and requested that. She returned saying the "manager" said sorry, but was too busy in the offie with paper work to speak with me. this I what I find the most unacceptable: The "manager" is too busy to address a situation. I expected better from the Lancarte family.
