I'm an American traveling in Portugal. Here's my grocery haul! It's always an adventure grocery shopping in a country with a foreign language. But it makes for a great story!

One suitcase and one backpack... for a year of travel. Most people gasp aloud and ask how the heck I do that.

First, I coordinated all the pieces so they can mix and match.

Second, I accounted for warm and cool weather.

Third, I knew we could buy things along the way and donate as needed.

We're three months in so it's tested and approved by this Mama.

What do you eat when in Italy?

Homemade sweets from the Pasticceria, gelato, lots of pizza!, steak and potatoes, Zuppa Toscana, Pizzocherri (a local dish), salads, and of course Tiramisu.

Hello, my people. This month, I have grown an appreciation for all those who live without air conditioning. Seriously people, how do you get anything done when it's 88 degrees INSIDE???

Tesla pretty much constantly pants and lays here or directly in front of a fan all day long. Poor guy! I can definitely relate as I sit here with the fan directly on my face.

Today, I took some time to walk through the stunning grounds of and I was captivated! Everywhere I turned I saw trees trying to reach the blue sky, flowers showing off their vibrant hues, and buildings boasting their superb design.
It is truly the best sensation to find my heart stilled by nature's beauty, and satisfied by the visions around me. Contentment is an easy state of mind when one is here.
I encourage all of you take some time to look around and breath! Find your sweet spot and just savor these moments.
