It’s so fun to look back on the past year of training. After running a 10k last June, I decided to sign up for a half marathon. After that race in September, I caught the bug haha

I’m so proud of the progress I’ve made and excited for what’s next, but for now I’m also very excited not to be in a training block for the first time in like a year. I’m planing to take the next few months to focus on strength and running for fun!!

such a fun year! I started running in April as I was processing my birth experiences. I wanted something that would make me feel proud of my body after I felt it had left me down. I wanted to prove to myself I could set goals and stick to them after I felt I had let myself down. when I started, I couldn’t run a mile without stopping and the I ran a half 9 months postpartum!

I have felt so proud of myself for continuing to show up, especially as the weather has gotten cold. and those snowy, early morning runs have been some of my favorites!

I’m also so grateful for the community running has brought me, especially through this page. so thank you for cheering me on! and for the people who found this page before running, thanks for sticking around 😉

I am so excited for 2026. I’ve got some big goals to smash!!

Running has changed the way I show up in motherhood.
Mostly because it’s taught me who I am when things feel loud, messy, and busy. It’s taught me how capable and resilient I am!

Motherhood asks a lot of us and movement is how I give back to myself.

Breastfeeding while training? 100% possible and the research backs it up

Quick science: moderate aerobic & resistance exercise does not reduce milk volume or harm infant growth (Dewey et al.; Pediatrics meta-analyses). Recent studies show breastfeeding isn’t linked to higher injury risk and supports individualized, supported returns to activity (meaning it can look different for everyone).

Strenuous sessions can temporarily raise lactate in milk and some babies may be briefly fussy, but infant growth and milk quality remain normal.

And above all, make sure you’re fueling! You want to protect your supply, but it’s also important to support your own nutrient stores but eating enough calories.

I personally notice a huge difference in my energy and performance when I’m not eating enough carbs as a breastfeeding runner!

You don’t have to choose between movement and milk, our bodies age incredible when we give them the support they need!

We prepare for birth.
We prepare for breastfeeding.
But almost no one prepares us for weaning and how this hormonal shift can impact so many aspects of our lives.

Mood swings, anxiety, clogs, night sweats, cycle changes, brain fog… these symptoms are real and common. Understanding what’s happening can make the transition a little easier.

If you’re thinking about weaning soon (or supporting a friend who is), this carousel is your guide to what’s normal. If possible, I always recommend weaning as gently and gradually as possible, as this makes the hormonal shift a little more gradual.

my postpartum recipe guide is finally here!!

I’ve put together a guide with 6 of my favorite dishes and treats created with postpartum healing and recovery in mind. You also don’t have to be freshly postpartum to enjoy them, they’re delicious and nutritious for the whole family.

The guide also includes information about principles of postpartum eating to optimize recovery in those initial weeks after birth.

I’ve put so much love and thought into this guide and am so excited to share it with you all! I have it on sale until Friday and each purchase supports my little family, so thank you in advance!

If you comment RECIPES I’ll DM you a link to my website to check it out! 🤍

Birth story part 7:
That last check was at 7:16am on 12/3.
I think we all felt discouraged. Tired. Uncertain.
But I kept going.
I changed positions again, trying to bring him lower. It hurt! Another anesthesiologist came in to see if they could offer some pain relief and she was so kind. Still wasn’t able to get pain relief though.
All of a sudden I felt intense re**al presssure. I kept screaming that my butt hole hurt lol. And then I felt his head enter my birth canal. I was breathing as much as I could and told them he was definitely coming. Midwife came in at 8:11 and I was 6cm/90%/0 station. Yay, progress!!!
I was laying on my side and Jen was supporting my top leg.
At 8:51am I was 10cm.
I pushed and felt his head maneuver my pelvis. What a wild sensation!! I remember thinking, “it’s happening!!!” All the stress and fear of the last 30+ hours started to melt away.
I reached down and felt the top of his head and kept pushing.
At 9:16am on 12/3, Camden was born 🤍
He had a really tight nuchal cord (around his neck). So right that the midwife had to somersault him out (to get the cord off his neck).
I brought him to my chest and felt immediate joy and relief and love. My son! We did it.
