A sweet strawberry shortcake theme cake to celebrate Kate's Birthday. 🍓💕 Fondant floral blossoms, strawberry hearts and a few gold accents finish off this little vintage cake. Inside is vanilla butter cake and strawberry buttercream. I like making all kinds of themed cakes but love cakes that are nostalgic for me 😍

This is the 2nd cake I've made for the WAH Kitchen Crew. It's always fun to put veggies on a cake 🌽🥕🍅 It just seems so wrong! 😁 But a perfect way to make use of some avocado sprinkles! Filled with brown sugar spice cake and milk chocolate toffee buttercream.

I will share their last cake in the comments below. Its fun to see a variation on the same theme.... what will we come up with next time! 🧐

A vintage cake to celebrate Adeline's 4th birthday with subtle Disney princess flair. 👑💗✨

I think this is the first time I've done double ruffles on a vintage cake so about 90% thru it was definitely causing a hand cramp! Filled with chocolate cake and vanilla bean buttercream this was a super fun to create.

A mini-mega cake, is that a thing? It should be 😁 This donation cake for Gaston High School was small but mighty. Filled with vanilla butter cake, dark chocolate buttercream with reese's oreos, peanut butter buttercream with reese's peanut buttercups, covered with more chocolate buttercream and a ganache drip.

A fun sparkly cake to celebrate Scarlett turning 7 ✨ I created a topper to match her party invite and hit this thing with an absurd amount of sparkly things after layering on some fun color layers. The inside is confetti cake and vanilla bean buttercream.

Do people still do Throw Back Thursdays? I've never been on trend so I'm gonna do it anyways!
I'm working on updating my wedding portfolio, so I'm digging around in old photos and using the help of AI to remove difficult backgrounds and fix lighting. I know the use of AI can be seen as very negative, but I'm no photographer or editor (nor can I afford one). The location, lighting and other aspects of delivering a wedding cake at a venue (or in this case a rather stunning property in the SGV) are never ideal. Back when this cake was made, it was impossible for me to edit the photo this well. I usually just give up if the background and cake are super intricate like this and never share the photo, so its nice to see it in a more flattering light.
Valerie & Will were the first couple to trust me to make their wedding cake. They became long time customers afterwards too and I got to make some very fun things for them thru the years. 💗

Who knew the cake of a killer would be so sparkly ✨ This cake was really fun to make, but I think the apple is my fav part... it just looked so dang appley sitting in the bakery while it dried. The inside of the cake is Brown Sugar Spice cake and Milk Chocolate Toffee Buttercream. A very interesting combo tasted a bit like a Mexican hot chocolate to me.

Might not be surprising to know that it is very difficult to find a pleasant faced Grinch image 😏 He's usually doing his very best to be grinchy 😁 This cake for Mateo was filled with confetti cake and vanilla buttercream, no bad bananas or greasy black peels were involved.
