I’ve been pondering some other bread flavors for the market - I always bring jalapeño cheddar and Italian herb & cheese but I feel like we need a non-cheesy flavor!

What do we think? Everything but the Bagel seasoning? Garlic Herb? Whole wheat? Drop your ideas!

Now I know yall are tired of hearing me yap about local ingredients but I have to show off these beautiful fresh eggs I’m now using in the bakery!

I’ve always utilized as much local stuff as possible - pecans from B&B, honey from Coastal Honey Farm, berries from various u-pick places, home grown herbs, my beloved spring water from Red Hill Spring 🥰 so on & so forth

I’ve used local eggs here and there when I can but it seems I’ve got a steady supplier now with Stitch South Co. - the same folks who made my shirts and market bags!

We have access to so many great creators, producers, and farmers in this area! I’ve lived in 7 different cities across south and central Alabama and I don’t think anywhere else comes close to the accessibility we have here to community produced goods!

So this weekend when you’re chowing down on your Sacha’s Bakery cookies, pumpkin bread, or English Muffins and they taste a tad bit richer than usual - it’s thanks to these beautiful, fresh eggs!

It’s such a gorgeous day that I’m still here chillin despite my tables being empty thanks to yall!!! 😎 ☀️

I brought a record setting 49 PopTarts and every single one was gone by 9:10! Followed by 40 loaves of bread, 40 English muffins, a few dozen cookies, a dozen pumpkin breads, and several pancake mixes - I hope everyone enjoys their goodies!

I’ll be doing preorders all week next week (which are still open at HotPlate.com/sachasbakery ) but I’ll be back at the market on Halloween 👻 🎃

After a lot of chocolatey messes and marshmallow explosions I’ve finally nailed the method for S’mores PopTarts!

Turns out that method is to stop stressing over the looks and just appreciate how freaking *GOOD* the fudge filling tastes 😋I really really wanted the signature stripes you see inside a store bought s’mores PopTart - but after several delicious failures I’ve found the chocolate and the marshmallow in the filling is just gonna melt together regardless!

And yes, I will have these at Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fishermens Market on Saturday!! 🍫 ☁️
