Hello! ☀️ I’m still in sunny California enjoying some much-needed time with my family, but I can’t help but think about the upcoming week! 🥖💕

I’ll be baking fresh sourdough bread on Wednesday, October 7th and Friday, October 9th!

And a little menu update… 👀
I’ve removed the minis from my regular menu, but I’ll be offering a Build Your Own Mini Flight! 🎉

Quick reminder! ❤️

I’ll be traveling this week as my son returns to the U.S. from an overseas deployment. I plan to be standing right there when he gets back, and I wouldn’t miss it for anything.

Wow!! Thank you SO much to everyone who ordered this week! 🥹 My Wednesday bake day had to be split into two because of the pile of orders that came in—and I LOVE it!!

I’ll be out of town next week, but I’ll still be taking orders for the following week, so be sure to get your orders in!

Wednesdays: Orders are due by Monday evening.
Fridays: Orders are due by Wednesday evening.

Please remember that orders should be picked up on the same day as the bake day because I only sell fresh baked bread! 🤩

A quick reminder on why there are “due dates”: each loaf typically takes 2–3 days from start to finish, so I need orders in advance to make sure everything is ready for bake day!

Hey Fargo! 👋🏼🍞

I thought it was probably time I properly introduced myself and told you a little bit about the woman behind Fargo Wake ‘n Bake Sourdough!

I’m Anne Leonhart. I grew up right here in Fargo, ND, and still call Fargo home with my husband, Wes. We’re empty nesters with four adult kids who, of course, we think are pretty darn amazing. ❤️

A while back, I started making sourdough bread and, well… let’s just say things got a little out of hand. 😆

I took a class, learned the recipe, learned the process, and baked. And baked. And baked some more.

But I’m a bit of a perfectionist (okay, maybe a LOT 😂), and I kept thinking, “I think this could be better.”

So I started experimenting. I created my own starter, developed my own recipe and process, and eventually started milling my own whole wheat flour to give my loaves that extra little something.

Then came the flavored sourdoughs.

I started sharing my bread with friends and family, and the feedback was SO good that I finally stepped outside my comfort zone and started selling to a very select few.

And then “Corporate America” decided to give me another little nudge. 😏

After several years of working in “Corporate America” and getting laid off more times than I care to admit, it happened AGAIN this past summer.

So I figured… welp. Maybe this is my sign.

And just like that, I decided to take the leap and start baking for YOU all FULL-TIME! 🎉🍞

I’m equal parts excited, nervous, and ridiculously happy about this next chapter. I’m so grateful that something that started as a sourdough obsession has turned into a little Fargo business that I get to share with all of you.

And yes, I fully intend to keep feeding Fargo one loaf at a time. ❤️

🍞 Wednesdays: Fargo pick-up & delivery
🍞 Fridays: Lakes area pick-up & delivery

Once the lake season winds down and everyone heads back to Fargo, I’ll be baking both days in Fargo!
