Today is the day I stop trying to parent and work at the same time because my youngest is starting school. I made it! šŸ„¹šŸ„³šŸ˜œ
More than 8 years ago I made the very hard decision to leave my steady, well paying job with benefits, with coworkers Iā€™m still obsessed with, to stay home and make cardsā€¦but mostly be a mom. I never pictured being a stay-at-home parent but damn do I consider myself incredibly lucky to have gotten to be home with my kids while building my company. I will miss my errand sidekicks, looking up new playgrounds near card retailers I need to visit, listening to them play Barbieā€™s outside my office and being the person who already knows how their day went because it was with me. But I know my youngest is ready to conquer the world in Kindergarten (sheā€™s already conquered our homešŸ˜œ) and I know Iā€™m ready to not work every night until 9pm!
Being home with kids and working was really hard and I wouldnā€™t trade it for anything. Truly.
