BIGGEST PROJECT YET!
10 batches of cookie dough.
3 flavors.
18 hours of cookie making.
2 burnt pans.
420+ full-size cookies.
500+ minis.
Iāve been keeping my little cookie business on the down low until I felt like my work was truly āsell quality.ā These last few months have been some of the longest, most exhausting, stressful, messy days Iāve had in a whileābut every reaction, smile, compliment, and bit of excitement makes it all worth it. š
This past weekend, I took a HUGE step out of my comfort zone and signed up for the Richford Harvest Festival as my first event. It was nerve-wracking and exciting all at onceānot only was this my biggest bake ever, but also my first time presenting my cookies as a business.
To be honest, I fell short of my overconfident expectations. I didnāt get everything finished, forgot some things, and only sold about 25 out of the 90 packages I brought. Iāve been hard on myself wondering if I priced too high, didnāt advertise enough, or just wasnāt fully prepared.
But hereās the thingāthis was my first event. And despite everything, the compliments, the awe, the whispered ātheyāre so beautiful Iād feel bad eating them,ā the fact that they were mistaken for soap, candies, or even store-bought (!!)⦠all of that told me this was still a success. š
The best part? I went home, put the leftovers in the freezer, and started brainstorming. Lessons learned, confidence gained. š” And Iām so excited to say Iāve already signed up for my second eventāthe Vermont Apple Festival & Craft Show in Springfield, VT! šāØ
Hereās to growth, to learning, and to chasing dreams one cookie at a time. š
