2016 was my busiest year yet! Reflecting on the year, I realized I’m at a crossroads: burning out if I keep going as I’m doing it now, leveling up and hiring an employee OR switching gears. I took a long, hard look at my family’s plans and personal goals and it was pretty clear that 1) I don’t want to burn out and 2) I don’t have the mindspace available to dedicate to leveling up right now. Being a stay-at-home mom AND running a business is no joke y’all. I can finally admit that I CAN do ALL.THE.THINGS…but none of them as well as I could have if I pared 'the things' down to just a few.
I am so proud to have created a successful business and have learned so much in this crazy cookie journey - maybe the most important - knowing when to put on the brakes.
THANK YOU so much for allowing my cookies to be part of your wonderful celebrations. I have met some truly wonderful people who otherwise I would not have had the opportunity to meet.
What will 2017 hold? I may be running some holiday flash sales or switching gears to something a little less labor intensive. Maybe I’ll figure out what I want to do when I grow up. Or not and that’s ok too. 😀
