There's just something about Toluca Labor Day that makes you feel like a kid again. ❤

The carnival lights. Bingo. Donuts for breakfast at the Cheese House. Bocce ball. Mona's/Capponi's pasta. Reunions in the b**r tent. And watching the parade roll through town.

These cookies are a nod to those childhood memories - and to the traditions that still make Toluca feel like home. 🍪

Toluca friends, what is your favorite part of the Labor Day celebration?

A little kitchen experiment I’ve been wanting to try… homemade vanilla extract! 🤎✨

I finally decided to give it a go, and I’m so excited to see how it turns out! Vanilla beans + vodka + a whole lot of patience… now we wait! 😂

I’ll be storing it in a cool, dark spot and giving it a shake every now and then. And if all goes according to plan, these little bottles will eventually become homemade Christmas gifts! 🎁🤎

Have you ever made your own vanilla extract? I’d love to hear your tips! 👇

Taco ‘Bout Love 🌮💗✨

These bridal shower cookies got so much love in my stories I thought they needed a more permanent spot. They were SO much fun to make - I’m loving the bright colors and how the whole set came together.
